Training
With years of experience as a teacher in the classroom, a private mentor for neurodivergent children & families, and a passionate advocate for neurodiversity, I offer and lead fully comprehensive training in neurodiversity that focuses on the challenges and barriers neurodivergent people face in their daily life and how you can help support and overcome them.
Each session I offer is tailored to each organisation’s needs, but can include;
In-depth training on different neurodevelopmental conditions
Lived experience training on ADHD, autism and PDA
Support strategies & neuro-affirming practice for organisations
Understanding masking in schools & ESBA (school anxiety)
Celebrating neurodiversity
Intersectionality & understanding neuronormativity
By the end of the training, you will have a more thorough understanding of neurodiversity and plans to make your school or workplace more accessible for all.
“It reinforced the way that I try to support a number of children that I come across in my day. I will sometimes be questioned by others about why I am “treating” a child in a certain way and this training made me think “yes, I am doing my best to try to help and support”. In my role, the relationship with the child is massive. It has to be solid and when you have this, everything falls naturally in to place.”
School Visits
Alongside training, I also visit schools and host assemblies with the children to encourage them and inform them of how different all our amazing brains can be,
The visits can differ from the needs of each school but will typically focus on the below topics;
Talks on neurodiversity
Talks on LGBTQIA+
Talks about The Girl Who Always Could, my book about ADHD.
How children can support one another
