Big news: Rise with Katie is relocating to Prestwich

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately about how we grow, not just in business, but in our personal lives.

Today, I want to share a big update that involves both.

In the coming months, Rise with Katie will be moving its home base from Stockport to Prestwich.

We are moving in together as a blended family with my partner Tom and his children.

As anyone who has walked this path knows, it is a complicated journey filled with a lot of joy and "newness," but it also comes with its own set of challenges and adjustments, especially when I already find change exciting and overwhelming as an AuDHDer!

It’s a big step for all of us, and we are looking forward to an easier life being together in one space, AND it’s going to be a wild ride as moving always is!

I’ve been in touch with another local coach I know Emma Sails through the process, as she is writing her own book about the process of moving house as a neurodivergent person, and I begged her to let me on any wisdom whilst I’m waiting for her to finish the book!

It’s already been a great help in easing my mind, and will be available soon for anyone else preparing to move - highly recommended!

Staying connected to Stockport

One thing I want to make very clear: while my physical base is moving, I am not leaving my Stockport community behind.

If we are currently working together in Stockport, that support doesn't stop and I will be travelling back to you all in the same way I have already travelled to families around Manchester.

I am committed to continuing my work with my current clients and schools here, while simply widening the circle to include my new neighbours, and begin building connections to my new local community there.

Reaching across Greater Manchester

The move to Prestwich thankfully makes it easier for me to support families, adults, and schools in areas that were previously a bit of a stretch geographically. I’m looking forward to connecting with people in:

  • Prestwich & Bury

  • Salford & Manchester

  • Bolton, Rochdale, & Oldham

How I’ll continue to support you

My approach remains the same, rooted in a child-centred, neuro-affirming lens that prioritises understanding over judgment, and aims to create a safe space for wherever you are at in relation to supporting neurodivergent learners, as a family, or as professionals.

For Families & Adults

Whether you are navigating Autism, ADHD, PDA, dyslexia, or other neurotypes, my goal is to help you make sense of things in a way that feels realistic.

  • For parents: We look at behavior through a neuro-affirming lens and focus on emotional regulation.

  • For adults: We work on self-compassion and finding ways to navigate work and life that actually fit your brain.

For Schools & Professionals

I will continue traveling across Greater Manchester to provide staff training and workshops, with easier access to central Manchester, and be able to support schools and local councils across North Manchester in the same way I have across Stockport.

My focus remains on supporting understanding from a lived-experience perspective, and strategies that help schools move toward "connection over compliance".

I also show how we can make big changes for all learners by changing environments, shifting mindsets and using approaches that support neurodivergent students by creating real inclusion for them and accessibility in ways that are still quite new in the education system, but part of the change teachers really want to see for their pupils and communities.

The heart of the work

Moving houses and blending families is a lot of work, and it requires a fair amount of grace. I think that’s a good metaphor for the work I do with all of you: it’s about meeting life as it is—sometimes messy, often challenging, but always worth the effort to find a better way forward.

I’m looking forward to this next chapter, both in my personal life and in the way I can show up for the neurodivergent community across the North West.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me.

Look out for us at upcoming events in Prestwich such as Prestwich Clough day on 17th May, and watch this space for more updates coming soon..
